Aleaha Frederick, M.S.

Hey! I'm Aleaha Frederick, a licensure-seeking Clinical Mental Health Therapist working part-time at Wildflower Children’s Counseling. I received my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mississippi State University. Following graduation, I’ve worked in Special Education, intensive in-home therapy services, Community Mental Health services, and School-Based Mental Health services. I have extensive experience in Early Childhood Education and mental health. These experiences have influenced my therapeutic approaches, which are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Child-Centered Play Therapy, psychoeducation, and Trauma-Focused techniques (TF-CBT). I operate from a Trauma-Informed strengths-based perspective. My work always involves working with my clients and families to identify their internal resources to assist in identifying thoughts, behaviors, and patterns that are no longer serving them to cultivate better insight, coping strategies, and effective tools for navigating life. I work alongside my clients and clients’ families to identify and build upon strengths; improve communication; learn new coping skills; and create lasting changes. When utilizing child-centered play therapy and trauma-informed practices, I help my clients understand and express their emotions constructively through play. I am passionate about my work as a therapist, and I 'm deeply committed to uplifting families in striving to make positive changes in their lives. I hold a special place in my heart for young individuals aged 3-12, as I understand the complexities of this developmental phase. I believe in the strength and resilience within each person, and I am excited to join you on your journey.
