Lauren Sideravage, M.A.

Hello! I’m Lauren Sideravage, a licensure seeking Art Therapist working at Wildflower Children’s Counseling. I received my Masters in Mental Health Counseling with an Art Therapy Specialization from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Following graduation, I spent two years working at a children's hospital in Boston on the psychiatric inpatient units. This experience has informed my current approach to Art therapy, specifically incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Positive Psychology, and Trauma-Focused techniques. My goal is to help your child express and understand their emotions through visual arts, while also providing a space to feel heard and understood. I believe every child has a significant amount of strengths.

 My hope is to uncover these strengths and use them to increase personal growth, self-acceptance, connection to others, and autonomy. 

I grew up and attended college in the Northeast - making me a huge lover of Fall, Boston sports, and Dunkin Donuts. I recently moved to Knoxville to be closer to family and watch my baby niece grow up. I’m already loving all things Tennessee, specifically the Vols, Dolly Parton, and the warmer weather. I enjoy being outside, spending time with my family, painting, and traveling to new places. I’m looking forward to making this new city my home and taking advantage of everything it has to offer!
